The Artist Amy Brown
Tropical Art and Garden Landscapes

    Amy Brown was born in San Jose California where she attended Willow Glen Elementary School and Presentation High School. " I remember winning a painting award, but never thought about art as a job." Amy graduated from San Diego State with a degree in psychology and love for sailing and the Beach Life. She then sold advertising and marketing for about ten years. It was fun most of the time, but in 1991 she took a leap of faith and moved to the Caribbean. " I had been visiting this fishing village for several years. San Pedro Town,Ambergris Caye.  "Belize made me become an artist." The magic of the underwater world while scuba diving or snorkeling. The tropical breezes  blowing through the coconut trees on land or filling the sails at sea. The smiles of the Belizean people. If that wasn't enough in a few hours I could be in the rainforest looking for toucans or jaguars, hiking to waterfalls or swimming in prestine rivers." Amy started teaching herself how to paint and sculpt from her studio and apartment on the beach. Today I am spending most of my time in California creating and marketing my work with frequent  trips to her island in Belize. Please enjoy my artwork and the stories behind them.
